About This Gallery

Editorial work in this gallery.

Editorial makeup is its own discipline, distinct from event makeup: it is built around a creative brief, how studio lighting reads on skin, and the demands of a published image — not a single occasion. The looks below span the four kinds of editorial work this studio is booked for. Fashion editorials lean into sculpted, concept-driven looks built for the camera. Beauty editorials are skin-first — luminous, true-to-tone complexion work made to hold up in close-up and macro frames. Brand campaigns are coordinated to a creative brief and a brand palette, so looks stay consistent across multiple talent and frames. Commercial and lifestyle shoots call for polished-but-believable looks calibrated to how lighting renders skin on set. Across all four formats, Paige Anderson Makeup and Hair Artists builds the makeup and hair only — photography on these productions is handled by the production's own photographer.

Editorial work asks more of makeup than most occasions. Looks are built with longwear, transfer-resistant formulas so they hold across a full shoot day, and finished for HD and 4K capture, where every pore and edge is visible on screen. Continuity matters too — a look has to read the same across dozens of frames, costume changes, and lighting setups. Throughout the shoot, the artist works alongside the photographer, art director, and stylist so the makeup serves the concept rather than competing with it.

Fashion editorial
Sculpted, concept-driven looks built for the camera — defined structure with a single bold focal feature, finished to stay crisp under studio lighting across a full shoot day.
Beauty editorial
Skin-first artistry — luminous, true-to-tone complexion work made for close-up and macro photography, where every texture has to read clean.
Brand campaigns
Looks coordinated to a creative brief and brand palette, built for continuity across multiple frames and talent on the same production.
Commercial & lifestyle
Natural, relatable looks for product and lifestyle work — polished but believable, calibrated to how the camera and lighting render skin on set.
Men's editorial
Skin prep, brow grooming, and tone-evening for male talent — built to perform under studio lighting without looking made-up on camera.

Editorial clients include productions for Dolce & Gabbana, CNN, AT&T, and Men's Journal. 16+ years on set.
